RIDGELAND, SC – Three Colleton County teenagers were killed Wednesday night in a crash on I-95 in Jasper County.

The coroner identified the teens as Tykeem Johnson and Jakeem Pinckney, both 18 and recent graduates of Colleton County High School, and Jashawn Brown, 17, a rising senior at the high school. Another recent graduate, O’Shay Wiggins, 18, was airlifted to a hospital in Savannah in critical condition.

According to the Ridgeland Police Department, the teens were heading northbound on I-95 in a white Lexus when they attempted to get off at exit 22 at 100 miles per hour. The car went off the road into a wooded area, rolled several times, and struck several trees before coming to a stop.

In a statement released Thursday, the Colleton County School District said its “thoughts and prayers are with the families and friends of these students killed in a tragic car accident Wednesday evening.”
