LUMBERTON, NC (WBTW) – The Lumberton Police Department is investigating an early Friday morning shooting.

Captain Terry Parker said the shooting happened just before 2:30 a.m. in the area of 801 East 8th Street in Lumberton. Officers found evidence of a shooting, upon arrival.

According to Parker, officers received notice that three people were shot at that address. However, police say the driver crashed on 24th street in the area of Drugs America and Roses while traveling to the hospital. Any injuries received in the shooting or the accident were not life-threatening.

Police identify the victims as 36-year-old Kenny Ray Floyd AKA “Floss” of Lumberton, Desmond Maurice Moore, 37, of Lumberton, and Latisha McCormick, 38, of Rowland. Parker says each victim was shot, and all injuries were to the legs and feet.
