CHARLESTON, SC – Three Charleston area children are without a mother and father after an apparent double murder-suicide Sunday morning.
Charleston County Sheriff’s Office Major Eric Watson confirms that Kennitha LaBoard and Termaine Frasier had three children in common.
LaBoard and Althea Goss were shot and killed this morning, and Frasier died of self-inflicted gunshot wounds at a home on Wadmalaw Island Sunday morning.
Deputies were called to the home on Richard McCloud Lane at about 6:01am Sunday morning regarding shots fired.
The sheriff’s office activated its SWAT team after deputies heard gunshots coming from the home when they arrived.
Major Watson said the SWAT team robot entered the home, and a body was discovered with the robot’s camera. The full SWAT team then entered the home at about 10 a.m. They found the two dead women and the dead man.
The coroner says Kennitha LaBoard, 33, died of gunshot wound. Althea Goss, 54, also died of gunshot wound and Termaine Frasier, 39, died of self-inflicted gunshot wound.
All three are from Wadmalaw Island.
Investigators believe the incident may have resulted from a domestic dispute.
