3 charged after shots fired at Myrtle Beach convenience store

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Myrtle Beach police have arrested three people in connection with a shooting at a convenience store Saturday night.

Lt. Joey Crosby says officers were called to the Circle K, located at 1101 North Kings Highway, around 9:15 p.m. Saturday. Officers discovered that two groups of people were arguing in the store parking lot when a person from one of the two groups pulled out a gun and fired the weapon.

Three people were arrested following the investigation, adds Lt. Crosby.

John Fitzgerald Chandler, 20, of Myrtle Beach, was charged with three counts of attempted murder and possession of a firearm by persons unlawful.

Tryee Plummer, 18,  of Myrtle Beach, was charged with accessory to a felony after the fact.

Crosby says a juvenile was also arrested and charged with accessory to a felony after the fact.

At this time, it appears that no one was shot.  Officers used video from the city cameras, witness interviews, and evidence at the scene to determine the arrests.
