The 2nd Annual Benefit Ride for a Reason David’s Blankets of Hope takes place Saturday, April 11.  Those involved with David’s Blankets of Hope have made more than 700 blankets in the past three years. The blankets are either delivered or shipped to sick children.  T
he Benefit Ride helps purchase material to make the blankets and to pay shipping costs. The bikers are scheduled to leave Murrells Inlet Outpost about 11:00am and ride to Georgetown and back. Each biker will ride in honor and/or memory of children that have received blankets in the past. Last year, bikers placed the child’s certificate on their windshields or just held them before the ride. Last year, several children being honored attended the event and met the bikers who rode in their name.
