SPARTANBURG, S.C.  – More than two dozen people were arrested as part of an undercover operation by the narcotics division of the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office to curb prostitution in the county.

Investigators say 27 arrests were made, 13 were made via the internet and 11 were made on the street.

Charges include prostitution, loitering for prostitution, public disorderly conduct, and drug charges. The arrests were made over the last two weeks.

Deputies say they also found two abandoned properties, on Lassiter Street and Sibley Street, that were being used for prostitution.
