MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – The 2019 edition of the Conway Kickoff Classic will be played at the newly renovated Brooks Stadium on the CCU campus. News 13 confirmed the information with CCU director of athletics Matt Hogue and North Myrtle Beach football coach Matt Reel who attended Monday’s nights meeting with other area coaches. Recently the event has been held at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium on Myrtle Beach’s campus the week before the high school football regular season begins. There is no timetable on how long they will host the event or whether or not if they will switch back and both between the venues. The 9 Horry County public schools along with Waccamaw make up the 10 teams that participate in the annual event which will be in it’s 30th year this August. The 5 games are scheduled to take place on Friday, August the 16th.
