Spring travel season means an increased demand for blood.
You can help replenish our blood supply at two Georgetown Hospital System blood drives this month, March 13 and March 18.
Waccamaw Community Hospital will hold a drive from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, March 13, at Wachesaw Conference Center.
A second drive is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Wednesday March 18, at the Willbrook building located at 160 Willbrook Drive. Appointments will take priority, but walk-ins are welcome. Waccamaw appointments can be made by calling 843.652. 1144 . Appointments for Willbrook can be made by calling 843. 652.8200. Online registration for both locations can be done at going to http://www.redcrossblood.org.
In addition to having a valid ID, blood donors must be healthy, be at least 17 years old and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds.
