Officials in Georgetown County have arrested two men on animal fighting charges and are looking for a third man.
Arrested with charges pending are: Jamie Deon Grant, age 22, of the 1400 block Powell Road, Georgetown and Tywaun Kiaheem Heard, age 23, of the 100 block of Chinaberry Place, Georgetown.
Both are each charged with one count of Animal Fighting after a search warrant was served last week, the South Strand News reported. Three dogs were taken during the search.
Arrest warrants are outstanding for Rashad Derrell Grant, 23 years of age, whose last known address was 234 Greentown Road in Georgetown.
“Rashad Grant was the unidentified subject in one of the photographs,” Georgetown County Deputies said.
The photo appears to show a man holding a dog that is fighting with another.
During the search, agents seized heroin, marijuana and Suboxone (a schedule III Narcotic), the newspaper reported. Three dogs were impounded and an ATV (stolen in a Georgetown County burglary) and a four-wheeler (stolen in Williamsburg County) were also recovered, according to the South Strand News.

The arrestees were transported to the Georgetown County Detention Center
The 15th Circuit Drug Enforcement Unit, Georgetown Office, is funded by a SC Department of Public Safety grant. The DEU is comprised of numerous agencies with the 15th Judicial Circuit.
