MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Two men were arrested and charged with attempted murder Friday after a shooting incident at an apartment complex.
Officers with Horry County police responded to a call about shots being fired at Castle Drive Sept. 22 around 8 p.m. On arrival, officers were greeted by about 20 neighbors outside calling officers to them with information, the report says.
Neighbors told police gunfire erupted in the parking lot between a silver sedan and another dark car. Most neighbors told officers they heard between five and 20 gunshots.
After further investigation, police located the apartment where the incident began. The incident report says the deadbolt was broken off the apartment unit door. A white powdery substance and a bullet was found, but there was no one inside the apartment. The outside of the building had bullet holes in it, and bullet casings were found in the parking lot that corresponded to where the neighbors said shots were fired, the report said.
Officials were able to identify Jamarr Eugene Wilson, 31, and Jasseir Jameik Wilson, 21, as the two suspects.
Booking reports say Jamarr Wilson of Conway was charged with attempted murder and possession of firearms and ammunition and Jasseir Wilson, also of Conway, was charged with possession of firearms and ammunition, attempted murder, possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana.
Jamarr was released on bail Tuesday and Jasseir is still being held at J Reuben Long Detention Center without bail.
