HILTON HEAD ISLAND SC — The Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office is searching for the person who stolen nearly $2,000 of alcohol from a local grocery store.
Authorities say the woman entered the Kroger on Shelter Cove Lane, on November 9 at 11:38 p.m. and is seen on surveillance cameras walking back and forth in the wine isle.
We’re told the suspect manipulated the locked glass case where the expensive wine is stored. After a short time, she was able to access the case, taking two bottles of wine and two bottles of champagne, according to a news release.
The female is believed to be 30-40 years old with a slender build. Her hair is either short or it was tucked up underneath her hat.
