FLORENCE, SC (WBTW)- Florence Deputies say a manhunt is over in Florence for Nicholas Carter. The 19-year-old was apprehended a little after 1:00 Saturday afternoon at the end of Marion Avenue near Second Loop Road in Florence.

Carter ran from police after stealing a car last week in the Bennetsville area and then crashing it in Florence Saturday morning.

Carter is a white-male between 5’4 to 5’7 feet tall and about 130 pounds. He has dark brown hair and was last seen wearing a dark long-sleeve shirt.

Florence Police Public Information Officer Mike Brandt says the truck in the picture is the stolen vehicle from Marlboro County. He also says Carter has family in the Santee Rd and Juanita Rd area. That is where he crashed and ran into a tree

Florence County Sheriff Major Mike Nunn says Carter is wanted for burglary, larceny, failure to stop for blue lights and weapon charges. Nunn says deputies began searching in the Jeffries Creek and Cherokee Rd area Saturday morning.

Saturday was a joint effort between the Florence Police Department, Florence County Sheriff’s Office, State Law Enforcement Division (SLED), Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol.http://wbtw.com/2016/09/17/marlboro-county-deputies-search-for-man-who-stole-a-car/
