Two people are charged with ‘attempted house breaking’ after an incident in Lake City Tuesday afternoon.
Police say officers were dispatched to a break-in in progress on Adams Street around 2 p.m. while the owner was still inside the residence.
When officers arrived on scene, they were given a description of the suspects and within minutes of the investigation, were able to make two arrests.
17-year-old Jaheim Hanna and 25-year-old Dephante Brown are accused of trying to break into a home by trying to kick in the back door.
Both were taken to the Effingham Detention Center.
