17 Horry County men sentenced to prison for selling drugs

CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – Horry County judges sentenced 17 men to prison after leading guilty to various drug charges.

According to a press release from Fifteenth Circuit Solicitor Jimmy Richardson, several significant guilty pleas and trials occurred involving men selling drugs in Horry County this year that resulted in a total of 162 years in prison for the 17 men.

“We appreciate the hard work of the area police officers and drug agents in shining the light on these drug dealers in our community,” Richardson said. “This is a constant battle that we all must work together on to reduce drugs such as heroin in our neighborhoods. It impacts all of us in one way or another.”

The guilty pleas involved men from Horry County, and they received prison sentences ranging from five years to 15 years, according to solicitors David Caraker and Gray Ervin, who prosecuted drug-related cases for the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
