ANDERSON, SC – Family members are talking about the recovery of a 13 year old shot during a shooting spree in Anderson.
Sunday, the family gathered outside AnMed where he is still recovering. They lit 13 candles and released 13 balloons.
The teen was one of three people shot at a home on Montague Street last week.
The family says the teen has a long road to recovery and is alert and talking, but not walking.
“I just think it’s a very sad situation for someone so young to have to go through so much with the youth out here shooting each other,” said Ericka Mack. “You know, it’s so much crime going on. We just need to put the guns down and come together. This is just very sad.”
The “Put Down The Guns Now Young People” helped organize the vigil.
