KINSTON, N.C. – Thirteen students are facing disciplinary action after a fight broke out in a school cafeteria.

It happened Tuesday around noon while students were having lunch at North Lenoir High School.

School officials tell WNCT the large fight started between two students, but swelled after others joined the fight.

There was one minor injury in the incident. Video from the incident shows utter chaos and mayhem for a while.

“People were standing on tables, yelling and chanting (and) watching the fight and recording on their cellular devices and watching everything that was going on,” Raekwon Miller, a senior at the school, told WNCT.

“I was sitting next to some of our teachers and they were like ‘This is not appropriate for our students’ and they tried to stop it,” Miller added.

Administrators and teachers gained control of the students, separating them into two groups for about 45 minutes.

There’s no word what prompted the initial disagreement between the pair that started the fight.
