NEW BERN, N.C. – The Coastal Narcotics Enforcement Team busted 3 meth labs over the last two months.

Other agencies teamed up as part of the four month campaign targeting the making and distribution of the illegal drugs in New Bern and Havelock.

Police arrested 11 people, 6 of which were linked to meth, officials say.

The following were hit with meth related charges, according to the Coastal Narcotics Enforcement Team:

Dorman Poythress, age 45, and Laura Dugan, age 39, both of 200 block of Charles Street in Havelock.

Joseph Aaron Childress, age 32, of New Bern.

Jacqueline Jo Kahl, age 52, and Jeffrey Ray Magee, age 53, both of the 100 block of Victory Circle in New Bern.

James Riley Caldwell, age 45, of the 400 block of Shepard Street in Havelock.

The following are facing other drug-related charges:

Melissa Dawn Turner, age 43, of the 2400 block of Educational Drive in New Bern was charged with possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Ashley Ray Rossi, age 25, of the 100 block of Meadowview Drive in New Bern was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of pyrotechnics.

Hope Holton, age 19, of the 100 block of Inge Court in New Bern was charged with conspiracy to sell and deliver marijuana.

George Alexander Pompy, age 29, of the 600 block of possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Patrick Santana Edwards, age 24, of the 900 block of Antioch Road in New Bern was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana.

Agencies expect even more arrests in the future.
