DARLINGTON, SC (WBTW) – Deputies continue to search for the second suspect in a shooting that injured one person at a Darlington night club early Monday.
Lt. Robert Kilgo says 20-year-old De’Andre Lamont Cooks turned himself in Thursday morning, but investigators are still looking for 24-year-old Jabrey Deshawn McFarland of Hartsville.
Darlington County booking records confirm Cooks was released from the detention center on a $290,000 bond after being in custody for less than six hours.
Cooks was charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of possession of a weapon during a violent crime and malicious injury to personal property after witnesses say they heard gunshots ring out after a fight at Studio54 nightclub on Timmonsville Highway.
Deputies say one person was injured in the shooting, but the victim’s condition has not been released.
The incident is under investigation by the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Division and Drug Enforcement Unit with the assistance of the Florence County Sheriff’s Office.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office at 843-398-4501.
