SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. – One person was killed in a crash on U.S. 15-501 near Pinecrest High School and four others were taken to the hospital, officials said.
The accident happened on U.S. 15-501 between Pinecrest High School and the traffic circle at Pinehurst around 7 p.m. Thursday, said Frank Staples, Cypress Pointe Fire.
One person was confirmed dead and four others were taken to Moore Regional Hospital where their conditions are unknown.
Southern Pines Police is investigating the crash.
