1 charged with murder, another wanted in connection with deadly Florence shooting

A man has been charged and another man is wanted in connection with a deadly shooting in Florence. 

Lt. Mike Brandt, with the Florence Police Department, says Daquan Talik Jameson was arrested on Thursday on outstanding warrants for murder and criminal conspiracy in connection with the shooting death of Calvin Morris Whitfield III. 

Officers are searching for Rosune Lamarr Carelock in connection with this case, according to Brandt. Investigators have obtained arrest warrants for Carelock, charging him with murder, criminal conspiracy, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. 

Officers responded to 417 South Church Street around 11:15 p.m. on August 1st for a shooting. Upon arriving, officers found one person wounded at the scene. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he later died from injuries.
