UPDATE: Person killed after car runs off road, hits tree in Aynor, identified

NEWS13 UPDATE – Zorrein McClary, 50-years-old, died at Conway Medical Center, according to Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler.

McClary was from the Aynor area. McClary died from mass hemorrhage due to impact from MVA.

McClary died about 9 a.m. on Friday, November 8.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.

AYNOR, S.C. (WBTW) — One person is dead after a car crash Friday morning.

According to Corporal Sonny Collins with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 8 a.m. on 11th Avenue in Aynor.

The driver was traveling north on 11th Avenue when they ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

The person died at Conway Medical Center, according to Horry County Deputy Coroner Darris Fowler. At this time, the cause of death is pending to determine if the death is from a medical condition or a traffic fatality, Fowler said.

An autopsy was ordered to determine the cause of death. The name and cause of death will be provided once the autopsy is complete.

Nobody else was in the car at the time of the crash. The driver was not wearing a seat belt, Collins said.

The crash remains under investigation.
