MARION COUNTY, SC (WBTW) – A morning manhunt is over in Marion County after two people were taken into custody, accused of having stolen items from a Walmart and leading deputies on a chase.
Sheriff Brian Wallace says the incident happened just before 8 a.m. Sunday. He says two people were in a UHaul that was thought to have stolen merchandise inside from an area Walmart. A chase started after deputies were able to locate the vehicle.
Wallace says deputies took one of the suspects into custody shortly after the chase. A K-9 officer successfully found the other as the result of a manhunt.
Both are in custody at Marion County Detention Center. No word on any charges.
