HARTSVILLE AREA, SC (WBTW) – Three people were arrested after drugs and a stolen gun were found at a home near Hartsville, Darlington County deputies said.
Investigators with the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit served a search warrant at a home on Westover Drive around 6 a.m. Wednesday, a press release from the DCSO said. Investigators found about 61 grams of methamphetamine, 10 alprazolam pills, 1 gram of marijuana, $300, a reportedly stolen Smith and Wesson .38 caliber revolver, ammunition, weight scales, syringes, and a video surveillance system.
The following people were arrested:
- Marion Wendell “Dale” Brown Jr., 33, of Hartsville – charges include “trafficking methamphetamine, distribution of methamphetamine and possession of a firearm by a convicted violent felon.”
- Jessica Ann King, 28, of Hartsville – charges include “possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana.”
- Nicole Eva Crowley, 34, of Hartsville- charges include “violation of probation.”
According to the release, Brown was previously arrested and charged on April 17, 2019 with “trafficking methamphetamine, distribution of heroin, distribution of methamphetamine, disposal of meth waste, possession of a firearm by a convicted violent felon and possession of a sawed-off shotgun” after a search warrant was served at his home. During that search, investigators found “approximately 12 grams of crystal methamphetamine, half a gram of methamphetamine, more than $1000 and a sawed-off shotgun.” Charges in this case are still pending.
