MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – A trial is set to start Tuesday for a Georgia man who is charged with murder in the 2016 disappearance of a Myrtle Beach man.  

Opening statements are set to begin Tuesday for Jonathan Lamar Hillary, according to Jimmy Richardson, with the 15th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.

Timothy F. Buckley was reported missing on September 30, 2016 and his remains were found in a field off of Rodeo Drive on November 10, 2016.

Hillary, of Augusta, Georgia, was charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Bernithia Young, of Atlanta, Georgia, was also charged alongside Hillary with accessory after the fact to a felony murder.
