SATURDAY 11:30 A.M. UPDATE: Authorities have identified the suspect in a shooting Friday that left an 84-year-old woman dead.
Horry County police have confirmed that Carl Braun, 79, is the suspect in the shooting.
Braun was booked into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center just before 6 p.m. Friday. Booking records do not list his charges at this point.
Authorities have still not released the name of the victim.

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — An 84-year-old woman was killed in a shooting in Horry County Friday afternoon, according to the Horry County Coroner’s Office.
The Horry County Police Department (HCPD) said earlier Friday that one person was seriously injured.
HCPD said the shooting happened around 2:30 p.m. on Edisto Court.
A suspect is in custody and there is no threat to the community, HCPD said. No other information is available at this time. Count on News13 for updates on this developing story.
