A teacher at Myrtle Beach Middle School was arrested for public intoxication and unlawful possession of a controlled substance.

According to Lisa Bourcier with Horry County Schools, Stacy Hetzel was arrested on Wednesday morning.

A warrant from the Myrtle Beach police says that Hetzel was arrested for “an unrelated incident” at Myrtle Beach Middle School. Authorities searched her purse where they discovered two pills that were later identified as Clonazepam (an anti-anxiety medication), a schedule IV substance. Hetzel told authorities she no longer had a prescription for that drug.
