MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Myrtle Beach Police Cpl. Thomas Vest says an armed robbery took place around 4 p.m. Friday in the 600 Block of 4th Avenue North in Myrtle Beach.  

Vest says the suspect tried to rob a person at this location.  

He says the person robbed suffered minor injuries.  

No details were released about a  weapon.  

Police attempted to stop the suspect, but say he ran off toward 21st Avenue North and Oak Street.  

A detailed description of the suspect is not available at this time.
