Myrtle Beach man faces charges of sex with minor

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – A Myrtle Beach man is facing charges of having sex with a minor, second offense, after a reported incident in the Carolina Forest area.

Richard Bryan Beaman, 47, of Myrtle Beach, has been charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor, victim 11 to 14; and unlawful neglect of a child or helpless person by legal custodian. He was released on a $10,000 bond.

According to the police report, the victim said he had a sexual relationship with Beaman on Sept. 30, 2016, in the Carolina Forest area. The alleged assault was reported last week by at Myrtle Beach High School.

Beaman is pictured on a Carolina Forest dance studio web site as a staff member, owner and director.

No further information is available at this time.

Correction: The charge was first reported on the J Reuben Long Detention Center website as a second offense. However, that was later changed.
