LITTLE RIVER, SC (WBTW) – A man has been arrested and charged in connection to a shooting at the Empire Bar & Grill on Highway 17.
Stephan Lanier Jackson was arrested on Tuesday in Brunswick County, NC, on a fugitive warrant out of Horry County. His charge is listed as extradition/fugitive other state, according to the Brunswick County Detention Center.
The shooting happened at about 3 a.m. on March 3 at the Empire Bar & Grill at 2551 US Highway 17 in Little River, according to the Horry County Police Department.
Police say they responded to a hospital on March 3 around 3 am in reference to a gunshot victim being brought in from McLeod. The man was conscience and alert when police arrived, according to the report. The man told police he and his cousins were out at the Empire Bar and Grill. He said an unknown person in the crowd then began to shoot a pistol.
Jackson remains in jail on a $1 million bond, according to the Brunswick Detention Center.
