Police have arrested Tyre Carter in connection to a sexual assault case Monday at a Myrtle Beach motel.
According to warrants from the Myrtle Beach Police Department, Carter is charged with first-degree sexual assault and kidnapping.
The warrant says the victim was in a room at the White Sands Motel on North Kings Highway when Carter entered the room and sexually assaulted her. The victim tried to pull away and that Carter put his hand over her mouth and pinned her to the bed to keep her from leaving.

The victim suffered some injuries as a result of the assault.
Carter was apprehended by police a short time later near the motel. He is currently being held without bond.
