LORIS, S.C. (WBTW) – A Loris man and a Myrtle Beach woman face charges of manufacturing meth in an apartment on Carolina Forest Boulevard.
Melissa Clark, 36, and Matthew Graham, 32, have been charged with the manufacture of methamphetamine, 1st offense, and manufacturing near a school.
Horry County police officers were called to Kent Lane on Thursday about suspicious activity. When officers arrived, they found a flatbed trailer that was loaded with used household furniture and other items.
The back patio closet door was open to plain view, according to the police report, so officers went to check the area and saw there was a clear bottle with a tube and black electric tape at the top of the bottle, securing the tube in place. At that point, police secured the area with caution tape. Police also evacuated people from building 607 in Canterbury Apartments during the search.
Clark and Graham came out of the unit and were detained, police said.
They remain in J Reuben Long Detention Center as of Friday morning. No bail has been set.
