MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – A woman police say is homeless is now charged with stabbing a man.

According to an incident report and arrest warrants, Rachel Blanton Pagette is accused of stabbing a man in the chest. It allegedly happened in the 1100 block of 3rd Avenue South this past Saturday.

The reports indicate Pagette and the victim are homeless and live in the woods near where the stabbing happened.

The original incident report from May 18th states the victim was found around 3 p.m. with a stab wound to the chest; his hands clutching his chest and covered in blood. At that time officers reported they could not question the victim because he said he was about to pass out and couldn’t breathe.

According to the incident report from the 18th, the witness, identified as Pagette, told police she didn’t see what happened because she was walking in front of the victim and was wearing headphones when it happened. Pagette told officers she turned around and the victim said he’d been stabbed. Pagette told officers she saw a man with a black and white t-shirt, tan cargo shorts walking away from the victim.

According to an arrest warrant, officers found Pagette with a bloody knife and charged her with domestic violence, high and aggravatednature.

The victim was taken to the hospital for surgery, according to the arrest warrant.
