SURFSIDE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Two men are under arrest after apolice chase in Surfside Beach.

Police in Surfside Beach tell News13 it all started around 3.51 a.m. on Memorial Day when an officer tried to stop a pick-up with a motorcycle in the bed of the truck. Police say the bike was unsecured, and the driver tried to get away from the officer. The bike apparently fell from the back of the truck at one point during the chase.

Speeds reached over 70 miles-per-hour, according to an incident report.

Police say the chase continued to an apartment complex off of 5th Avenue North Extension where one of the suspects jumped from the moving truck and ran away. The report goes on to say the truck crashed into a ditch on Azalea Drive where two more suspects tried to run away.

Justin Marquis Castle was arrested near the truck and Jameson Tyrese Wright was arrested after a foot chase, according to police. Castle is charged with grand larceny, interfering with police. Wright is charged with grand larceny, failure to stop for blue lights, interfering with police.

A third suspect is still on the loose.
