UPDATE 12/11 11 AM – Georgetown County Coroner Kenny Johnson has identified the person killed in Tuesday night’s deputy-involved shooting as 31-year-old Kreed Cornell Bateman of Andrews.
Coroner Johnson said an autopsy is scheduled at the Medical University of South Carolina on Friday at 9:00 a.m.
ANDREWS, SC (WBTW) – Georgetown County Coroner Kenny Johnson tells WBTW that one person was killed in a deputy-involved shooting on Gator Lane in Andrews Tuesday night.
Sheriff Carter Weaver says that deputies were responding to a report of a domestic disturbance at 183 Gator Lane, and while investigating deputies exchanged gunfire with a man and he was killed. No deputies were injured in the shooting.

Weaver says there is no present danger to residents in the area.
Johnson says he is on the scene and that SLED has been called in.
