3 charged after 21 dogs found living in poor conditions, no water, no food; according to police

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – A tip led police in Myrtle Beach to seize nearly two-dozen dogs and arrest three people.

It happened in the 700 block of 13th Avenue South. Police say 21 dogs were taken from the property. Officers found three adult dogs and 18 puppies. Police say the animals were living in poor conditions:

“Officers found three adult dogs and 18, unhealthy, six-week-old puppies in the backyard of the location living in poor conditions ,to include: undernourishment, a variety of medical ailments, no water, no food, inadequate shelter.“

Three people were taken into custody.

• Belyn Sierra Rodriguez, 19, of Myrtle Beach
• Keith K. Burris, 21, of Myrtle Beach
• Jahmoy Jamel St. Jacques, 20, of Myrtle Beach

All three suspects are charged with multiple counts of animal mistreatment and neglect.
