CONWAY AREA, SC (WBTW) – A 13-year-old girl said she was sexually assaulted on an Horry County school bus, according to a police report.
On Wednesday, an Horry County police officer responded to an Horry County school in the Conway area for an assault between two students.
While investigating, the officer and school staff spoke with the girl, who said that she had been sexually assaulted on a school bus, the report said. “Her disclosure of the incident led to interviews with other students who allegedly had knowledge of the incident.”
News13 reached out to Horry County Schools.
“HCS is aware of the incident, which is currently under investigation by both law enforcement and school administration,” said Lisa Bourcier, with the district.
