Florence, SC (WBTW) – The Florence-Darlington Technical College Stinger baseball team is again having another big spring. The guys are hoping to get back to the JUCO World Series in Colorado. Last season they finished as the runners-up in June. A number of the players are made up of guys that graduated from high schools in the Pee Dee.
The Tech Stingers are now 40-11 overall, and the team finished out the regular season 19-3 in Region 10. The Region 10 Tournament will be held at the Lexington County Baseball Stadium in Lexington, South Carolina, Saturday through Monday, May 5-7. The Tech Stingers will open up on May 5 at 5 p.m. as the No. 1 seed to play the winner of the No. 4 vs. No. 5 game.
