Lauren is thrilled to call the Lowcountry her home! Lauren joined WBTW News 13 in June 2019 after graduating from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth where she earned her degree in news and media studies.
Lauren was born in Fort Worth, Texas, and lived in the Lone Star State the majority of her life. Growing up, she lived in Greenville, SC, for a few years, vacationed in Carolinas every summer, and has always wanted to get back.
While going to school at TCU, she completed two internships in the Dallas/Fort Worth market at NBCUniversal and CBS affiliate stations. With a broad range of work experience in news and sports, Lauren enjoys reporting on all general news, including health, consumer, feature, or any story that has a strong impact in the local community.
Lauren’s passion for current events, journalism, and creating relationships with people in the local community is a springboard to uncovering news and delivering stories in an inspiring, informing, and entertaining way. Her primary goal is to report on day-to-day news while creating a relationship with viewers that connects, inspires, and motivates.
Lauren looks forward to continuing volunteer work and meeting new people in her new South Carolina community.
When she’s not reporting, you can find her traveling or spending time outside – running on the beach, reading a new book on the patio, or on the Marshwalk by the water, live music, and wonderful seafood.
