Britney Trumpy joined WBTW Storm Tracker 13 weather in December 2019. She is a meteorologist and got her bachelor of science degree from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.
Britney grew up in Berlin, NJ, right outside of Philadelphia and loves the beach town vibe and southern hospitality of Myrtle Beach and the Carolinas!
She recently worked at KAMR/KCIT in Amarillo Texas where she got to forecast and chase tornados and blizzards.
From a young age, Britney knew she loved the weather, but she decided she wanted to focus on broadcast meteorology when Hurricane Sandy made landfall along the Jersey Shore.
When not chasing and forecasting the weather, Britney likes to read or be outdoors sitting on the beach, hiking or kayaking. She loves cooking and spending time with her dog Gurdy.
