Briana Fernandez is thrilled to join the WBTW News13 team as a reporter based in Florence.
Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Briana attended Florida Atlantic University. There, she received a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, with a minor in Business.
During her time at FAU, Briana reported for her campus newscast, “OWL TV.” She also received a scholarship to study abroad in Venice, Italy.
After graduating, Briana landed her first TV job as a news writer at WSVN in Miami, FL. It was there that she fell in love with covering breaking news. Her curiosity and thirst to learn more only grew from that moment on.
Briana’s favorite part of her job is getting to know people she may not have ever met otherwise. She loves to tell stories about the amazing things people do for their communities.
In her free time, you can find her catching up on shows, exploring the city, and trying out new restaurants.
