MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW)- One man is dead after falling off of a banana boat in North Myrtle Beach Thursday afternoon.
Horry County Coroner Robert Edge said the victim was Danny Winters, 56, of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Edge says an autopsy performed Friday shows the cause of death was cardiac related, not drowning.
Reports say Winters fell off a banana boat ride and wound up face down in the water. He was brought to shore where lifeguards administered CPR before he was transported to McLeod Seacoast Hospital, where he died.
