COLUMBIA, SC (WBTW) – The South Carolina Senate Ethics Committee filed a complaint against Sen. Ray Cleary.
It claims between April 1, 2013, and January 10, 2016 the Murrells Inlet Republican used campaign funds for personal use, failed to report some contributions, and failed to report some expenditures from his campaign banking account.
Cleary has 15 days to respond to the filing.
He is not seeking re-election.
