MYRTLE BEACH (WBTW) – The Myrtle Beach Pelicans lost to the Frederick Keys 4-3 on Thursday night at Ticketreturn.com field.
The Keys jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first on a sac fly by Wynston Sawyer. They added two more runs in the third. D.J. Stewart hit a sac fly and Cameron Kneeland hit an RBI single. Myrtle Beach tied the game after scoring two runs in the sixth inning but Kneeland came through again for the Keys in the 8th inning. His RBI single put Frederick up 4-3. Keys reliever Tanner Scott came in to close it out and earn his fifth save of the season.
The two teams are back in action tomorrow night. First pitch is 7:05 p.m.
