MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – The American Red Cross is always looking for blood and platelet donations, but there are other ways to help. One of those ways, is by participating in upcoming weekend events. Nanci Conley, Executive Director of the American Red Cross for the Palmetto SC Region, was on News 13 Now Thursday to talk about the Red Cross weekend, which includes the annual “Classic at the Common,” at The Market Common, and the “Hurricane Classic Golf Tournament,” at Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawleys Island.

Classic at the Common is 6-9pm Friday, August 5 under the tent at Grand Park across from Orvis at The Market Common. Tickets are $50, which entitles you to a sample food and beverages from top restaurants including:

– Gordon Biersch

– Travinia

– PF Chang’s

– Butter Cream

– Mellow Mushroom

– Live entertainment

– Auction items (including Club Car gas-powered golf cart)
