FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – A Florence motorcycle club held its first back to school supply giveaway Saturday afternoon.
Members of the Royal Cruisers motorcycle club members passed out more than one hundred fifty bags full of school supplies.
The donation was held in the parking lot of City Grill in downtown Florence.
Dozens of kids came out and picked up supplies they needed.
Club members say it is important that the kids have the tools they need before the start of the school year..
“We collected supplies and put these bags together. We were up all night; just want to make sure that even though we couldn’t buy everything that the kids need, we could do something for the parents so it feels good to know that we can do something for kids less advantaged,” said Royal Cruisers club member Neva Bailey.
Bailey says since their first school supply drive went so well they plan to continue it every year.
