HORRY COUNTY, SC (WBTW) – The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating an accident involving an Horry County Police Department vehicle in Conway.
Lt. Raul Denis, spokesman for the Horry County Police Department, confirms the accident happened on US-701 near Cultra Road Thursday around 3:15 p.m. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the police car rear-ended another vehicle, causing the crash.
Troopers tell News13 both the driver of the patrol car and second car involved were taken to Conway Medical Center as a precaution.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol has not said if any charges will be filed.
