MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Milling and re-paving of a portion of Robert M. Grissom Parkway, from Mr. Joe White Avenue to 21st Avenue North, is postponed until Monday, August 22.

Last week officials said the paving would begin on Wednesday August 17.

Southern Asphalt, the paving contractor for this project, says it had equipment issues and plans to begin milling and paving next week.

The work will occur in the daytime and should take about a week to complete. The milled surface will be rough until paving is accomplished. Re-striping may occur during evening hours. At least one lane in each direction will be open to traffic at all times.
