ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) – Authorities say a teenager wanted for a fatal shooting in Rochester last month has been arrested in South Carolina.
Police say 17-year-old James Graham was taken into custody Monday in Williamsburg County.
The teen was charged in connection with the July 12 shooting death of 24-year-old Ali Huntley. Officials say Huntley was shot at a neighborhood vigil for another homicide that had happened just 24 hours earlier on the same Rochester street.
Authorities tracked Graham to South Carolina, where Rochester police took him into custody with the help of local law enforcement and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Police say Graham will be arraigned on a second-degree murder charge when he’s brought back to Rochester. It couldn’t be determined if he has a lawyer in Rochester.
