CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – On Tuesday members of the US Marshal’s Task Force and SLED took a man into custody for seven warrants from Horry County police for his involvement in an August shooting.

Lt. Brandon Strickland of Horry County Government says officials arrested Tevin Gause, 23, at the intersection of El Bethel Road and Highway 378.

Horry County Police were called to Wren Lane about a shooting Aug. 16 at 2:30 a.m.

According to the incident report, the homeowner told police that they had arrived home from work to find several bullet holes along the side of their house and their 19-year-old brother injured.

Police were told that the victim and six other people were inside the home when they noticed car headlights shining in the living room window and began to hear gunshots.

Officers were told a female neighbor was at the residence at the time and the homeowner told police she may have been injured also.

Booking records from J Reuben Long Detention Center say Gause was charged with six counts of attempted murder and discharging a weapon in the August 16 incident. Records also say Gause was charged with possession of narcotics.

He is currently still being held at J Reuben Long with no bail set.
