MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – The United Way of Horry County hosted “Myrtle Beach Moves Day” at TicketReturn.com Field on Saturday morning.

The organization teamed up with the Myrtle Beach Pelicans to encourage those in Horry County to be active. A series of fitness classes were hosted in the outfield including yoga, Zumba and a boot camp class.

“I’m just glad to have our community members here,” said Meredith Millen, Marketing and Communications Coordinator for United Way of Horry County. “We love to do anything we can for them.”

The United Way of Horry County focuses on health, financial stability and education, and this event was aimed to highlight the health pillar. The event was $5 per participant and all proceeds will go to United Way of Horry County initiatives.

One of those initiatives will be the 2016 Day of Caring on September 9. If you would like to get involved, click here.
